The pretty box (all photos with flash):
This set comprises:
- Hook Up - bright yellow shimmer
- Holla - neon orange
- Hottie - neon pink
- Blue Collar - bright blue
All of them apply very well and are on the sheer side. I've swatched each with two coats and on their own they should be opaque in 3-4 coats. To get a nice shiny finish you really need a top coat (I recommend Seche Vite): Hook Up and Blue Collar are reasonably shiny, but Holla and Hottie are almost satin-y.
I love Hot Shots and will probably wear these polishes very often. If you love neon and brights, give this set a try.
Now for the swatches: I applied two coats of China Glaze White on White and two coats of each colour. I decided that it would be neat to compare Holla and Hottie to China Glaze Japanese Koi, so I applied this on my thumb in the same way:
The first two photos were taken without top coat. As you can see, Hottie and Holla look a bit streaky and I forgot to neaten the edges, sorry.
Then I applied a coat of Essie Matte About You.
What do you think about Hot Shots, do they tickle your fancy?

I love Hottie and Holla with Japanese Koi. you could do a really fun manicure using all three together- they are a great color combination! I need to find these polishes- I've never used ORLY, are they good?
I only have a few ORLY polishes myself, but so far I'm very happy. A couple were a bit streaky, but I was pleasantly surprised by the brush of the miniature bottles.
Maybe I'll try marbling Holla/Hottie/Japanese Koi...
I think that'd be gorgeous- because Koi looks like Hottie and Holla had a baby. :)
*g* So true!
