NotD - Doctor Who Day One - The Tenth Doctor

This is what I announced on twitter, my Doctor Who week. I will post a Whovian NotD every day for a week, starting today with the simplest design, the Tenth Doctor.

As you might know the era of David Tennant (who happens to be my favourite) as the Doctor ends soon, so today's manicure is inspired by his very cute brown suit with light blue pinstripes. I so could have used some kind of pinstripe Konad image disc.

What I used for this manicure:

• Sally Hansen miracle cure
• CND Ridge Out
• essence colour & go 12 very diva - three coats
  
• Two-Way Nail Art Pen & Brush in light blue
• Seche Vite

essence very diva gave me quite a bit of trouble. In the bottle it's a yummy dark brown, but the first coat looked like a purple-y dark red. Three coats are nicely opaque and a truly gorgeous brown, but the clean up was a total pain and the edges still look red. So if you get this polish give the Vaseline-on-the-cuticle technique a try!
This is very diva in three coats, no top coat and pre-clean up:

Then I just added some light blue stripes with the striping brush, applied Seche Vite and cleaned up the edges:
