Today's NotD was inspired by the Time Vortex and, as I mentioned before, achieved by water marbling. I used Colette's tutorial, which is clear and easy to follow.
Please excuse the semi-cleaned nails, I have horrible lighting and most days I can only see part of the superfluous polish until I take pictures. Today I just don't have time to re-photograph.
This is what I used for today's manicure:
Base and top coats:
- LOOK by BIPA Stop Split Vitamin Booster
- LOOK by BIPA Ridge Filler
- CND Air Dry
- Essie matte about you
For the marble:
- essence colour & go 01 absolute pure
- Eyeko Indigo Polish
- Eyeko Cosmic Polish - also used as base colour
- China Glaze Liquid Leather
- China Glaze Ruby Pumps
After applying the base coats I used one coat of Eyeko Cosmic Polish as base. Every nail got a different combination of colours and a random swirly pattern. Please check out Colette's video for instructions!
The shiny result:
And here is what it looks like with a matte top coat:
Not an exact likeness of the Time Vortex, but that's why I said 'inspired by.' ;-P
