NotD - Have a Shiny New Year

There are few days as glitzy and sparkly as New Year's Eve. Even women who usually wear neutrals and subtle make-up and polish will be tempted by glitter, frost and sequins. So when the lovely Kellie sent me a bottle of Sinful Colors I Miss You I knew I had to wear it for this occasion.

What I used for today's manicure:

  • Sally Hansen miracle cure
  • LOOK by BIPA Ridge Filler
  • OPI Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees - I only have a miniature bottle, but this one I need to buy the full size of!
  • Sinful Colors I Miss You
  • various rhinestones/nail gems
  • Seche Vite

First I applied my base coats, followed by two coats of Suzi Skis in the Pyrenees.

The it got a bit complicated. I added one coat of the gorgeous I Miss You to all nails. As the application of the rhinestones takes a bit I then switched to doing the next thee steps on each nail.
I applied a second coat of I Miss You and immediately pressed random rhinestones in the wet polish. It was strangely difficult to not arrange them in a grid (like my ring finger) or at an even distance. Then I sealed everything with Seche Vite; it was necessary to pat the SV on to get it everywhere. After a few minutes I added another coat of Seche Vite.
This photo was taken after I had finished three nails and just applied the second coat of I Miss You on my index finger:

And here's the finished manicure:

What are you doing at midnight. I'm staying home - our cats tend to get nervous due to the fireworks - maybe with a cup of Glühwein.
