Swatch – ManGlaze Matte is Murder

Here’s my first ManGlaze swatch: the gorgeous Matte is Murder.

Matte is Murder is a fantastic shimmery black polish. And it’s matte, of course. Actually, I hesitate to call it shimmery, as the multicoloured particles seem closer to microglitter to me. What do you think? This polish is opaque in two coats and dries fairly quickly.
As with all matte polishes, applying Matte is Murder can be a bit tricky. It does show ridges quite clearly, so I suggest using one or two coats of ridge filler as base. Slightly thicker coats also help a lot, but will affect the drying time and I’d only choose that solution with top coat. Though I generally prefer flat brushes, I love this round one. It’s supple and fans out quite easily and controllably.
I adore this polish, both matte and with shiny top coat. Lovers of dark and matte polish should definitely take a closer look at Matte is Murder.

These pictures show Matte is Murder in two coats without top coat. The first was taken with flash, the second one without flash under a ‘natural spectrum’ lamp:

And this is Matte is Murder in three coats, topped with Seche Vite, with the same lighting as above:

I decided not to add any nail art today. Matte is Murder is just so pretty. And why am I obsessing so much about how great an idea it is to have the label on the top?
